I hear this a lot, I want to workout / get healthy / lose weight, but I do not know how to start. There is no one size fits all answer, but a couple first steps.
- Set a goal, a SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) goal. (We will go over later how to set SMART goals). But what do you want to do? Lose 15 pounds? Walk a mile? Finish a marathon? Lift your grandkids? What goal do YOU want to hit?
- What are the steps to hit your goal? If it is to lose 15 pounds, how do you plan to do this? What are the steps you need to make?
- Accountability. Do you have a coach? If not, do you have an accountability partner (other than social media). If not, put your goals into your calendar, be YOUR accountability partner!
- Plan what you are going to do….write out your weeks plan. Get your self prepared the night before.
- Set a time to wake up. Set up a consistent time, make a routine..
- and just GO. Do it. and have fun!
