New Year, New Goals

New Year, New You. This is about the time of the year where you hear this, ALOT. Hey, if this works for you, awesome, but not many of us need to change our whole selves. Each of us has so much good, so much we want to carry into the next year. Do not feel like you have to change.

I like to look at New Years as a chance to create a New Goal. What is going to be my 2023 goal? As I am sure most of us know, make it a SMART Goal (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound). So it should NOT be “I want to be the biggest mountain at some point this year”.

Specific – I want to increase my protein intake each day

Measurable – I want to increase my protein intake each day by 50 grams (can measure by Chronometer)

Achievable – I can do this by adding one protein shake a day, or meal prepping and ensuring their is measured protein in each meal

Relevant – This will aid in my functional fitness journey, helping to recover between workouts

Time-Bound – I want to do this for the month of January and reassess.
