A lot of living to do

We have a looooong life to live! How do you want to live the second part of your life??

According to Harvard Health, in 1900, life expectancy in the US was 47 years, in 1950 it was 68 years, and today it is 76 years. And with science as it is now, estimates say we will add an additional 10 years by 2050, HOWEVER, no one expected the growth we have seen in science over the last 20-30 years, so expectancy could be higher.

How do you want to live those additional years? If you want to live those years healthy, playing, walking and traveling, you have to start preparing today. Training today will set you up for tomorrow. Adding functional workouts into your day will help with hypertrophy, will strengthen your bones and ligaments, and train your nervous system to handle stimulus. For example a clean (ground to shoulder) mimics the motion of taking a bag of groceries from the ground to the counter. A deadlift mimics the motion of picking up your grandchild (or great, or great-great). Training today sets up a better tomorrow.

Adding movement to your day is also important, and we will cover that in depth in the near future. Training cardio now strengthens cardio then…

There is a cost. Depending on what you look for in a coach, prices can vary. Add on a gym membership, or a home gym and some workout clothes, there is an investment being made. But this investment can save lots of money in the long term, hopefully reducing the cost of medical assistance, medicine, wheel chairs, accessible homes, etc.

PLUS the freedom to be able to enjoy those years independently…
